Hello, this Antonis, a Data professional, based in Thessaloniki, Greece. I work in the data analytics industry since January 2019.
I am a Senior Data Analyst at Chubb, a global insurance leader and my mission is to constantly evolve my technical knowledge, shape data mindsets everywhere get inspired and inspire.
From Jan 21’ to Mar 24’I was a co-leader at the Athens Tableau User Group organising interesting Tableau related events, sharing tips for the tool and meeting great people.
International Hellenic University: Data Analytics in Modern Corporate Business
To fulfill my mission, I designed the Data Analytics in Modern Corporate Business course for International Hellenic University. This comprehensive program is crafted to provide participants with essential skills and hands-on experience in data analytics within a corporate setting. Participants engage in a real-world scenario that replicates a corporate data environment. From setting up data pipelines with PostgreSQL and BigQuery to automating ETL tasks with Python and creating dashboards, this simulation ensures hands-on, practical learning.
Work Experience

Transitioning from providing private mathematics tutorials to high school students, I started my professional data journey in the field when I joined Cardlink(fintech, payments provider) in Jan 19’ with the role of Data Scientist. The main responsibilty of the role was to build models that will lead to actions either for cost saving or revenue increase.

My next step was working at Skroutz (#1 ecommerce Marketplace in Greece) in April 21’’ with the role of Business Intelligence Analyst in which I performed data analytics and operation reporting tasks and delivered actionable insights to business units which impacted user acquisition strategy and policies. As a Business Intelligence Lead I led a team that acted as the touch point of contact between BI and other operational teams. I mentored both team and external analysts and stakeholders, created training material and sessions for Tableau, Metabase and internal data.

From May 23’ to Nov 24’ I worked as Senior Data Analyst II at Hack The Box, contributing to establish a data culture in the organization and supporting decisions for the platform.

Now, as a Sr. Data Analyst at Chubb I’m involved in large scale projects to ensure alignment,documentation and needs plus contributing to a global working group to define Data Analysis standards and best practices.
Education
I’ve studied Maths at Department of Mathematics - Aristotle University (Thessaloniki, Greece) and then I had my MSc on Applied Informatics - International Hellenic University (Serres, Greece).

I genuinely enjoy connecting with people through events, whether it’s a conference, a panel, a university lecture or a casual meetup around data & analytics. If there’s a space to share ideas, stories and practical lessons from the data world, count me in! 🙌 Over the years, I’ve had the chance to speak and participate in various events across the data landscape. Whether it’s about data strategy, BI tools, building analytics teams or just surviving dashboards gone wrong, I try to keep it honest, practical, and human. 😊

AI & Beers Meetup
June 21, 2023, I had the pleasure of participating in the AI and Beers meetup in Thessaloniki, a vibrant gathering that brings together AI enthusiasts, developers and data professionals over insightful talks and casual networking. The event provided an excellent platform to discuss real-world applications of data analytics with SQL and Python and share experiences.

Tailored for recent graduates and early-career professionals with up to four years of experience, the event offers a dynamic platform to connect with over 50 leading companies and industry experts.
- Presented “Exploring the Role in Data landscape: A focus on the Data Analyst” in which we covered what being a Data Analyst is really like, beyond the job descriptions.
- Pariticpated in a panel discussion in which we’ll covered topics such as starting a career in Data Science & AI and skills that actually matter in the real world.
World Data Summit 2025
Will visit Amsterdam 🇳🇱 at World Data Summit (21-23 May 2025), joining an amazing community of data people and tech wizards. This event brings together leading experts, innovators and influencers from around the world to explore the latest trends, challenges and opportunities in the data landscape.
